Outsider Art
Collaborative Mural
-- Celebrating the Creative Power of the Margins
For the Belgian Days 2026, Belgian artist Nour Ben Slimane, from Créahmbxl, a creative laboratory for artists with intellectual disabilities, will create a large-scale mural in collaboration with Hong Kong street artist BOMS on the wall of the Po Leung Kuk Cho Kwai Chee Energetic Youth Club.
Inspired by the theme of music, the project will form a genuine bridge between East and West. Working with large markers, Nour Ben Slimane fills the surface with dense, energetic compositions. Her capital-letter inscriptions, both steady and expressive, shape the image and reveal a gallery of characters whose hair seems to rise to the rhythm of sound.
BOMS, a leading figure of Hong Kong’s street art scene, celebrates Chinese calligraphy and draws inspiration from local urban stories.
Together, their worlds intertwine in a vibrant, rhythmic, and poetic mural, a dialogue of gestures, lines, and voices resonating across cultures.
