Nour Ben Slimane saturates the space of her compositions with felt-tip pen, sometimes enhanced with acrylic. Gifted with a prodigious memory and passionate about cinema, the artist sprinkles her works with film credits, adding text to the drawing. The lettering of her captions, in capital letters with varying line thickness, and its regularity, contributes to building the image. The eye navigates through this profusion. At first glance, it catches names of actors, places, and dates; then it discovers a gallery of characters with hair standing on end: intoxicated by references, amazed by the abundance of forms? Or simply surprised to find, in this black-and-white universe, a few monochrome geometries, suspended colors.
