
Guojun He
Prof. Guojun He is an economist specializing in environmental, development, and governance issues, currently serving as Professor of Economics at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he directs the ESG Research Institute and is Associate Director of the Institute of China Economy. He also holds a concurrent appointment at the University of Chicago’s Energy Policy Institute (EPIC), leading its China center. His research focuses on empirically evaluating environmental policies and broader development challenges in emerging economies. Recognized with prestigious awards such as the Zhang Pei-Gang Award and the Gregory Chow Best Paper Award, he is also affiliated with institutions including the Asian Bureau of Financial Economic Research, the National University of Singapore, and the University of Chicago, and consults for organizations like the Asian Development Bank and CICC Research Institute.
