Crossbones Trombones

Founded in Ghent, Belgium, Crossbones Trombones is a quintet of internationally acclaimed trombonists dedicated to expanding the artistic possibilities of the trombone ensemble. Their performances combine the precision and tonal refinement of the classical tradition with the rhythmic freedom of jazz, contemporary performance practice, and a distinctive chamber music approach.

With more than 200 performances in over 25 countries, Crossbones has appeared at leading festivals, concert halls, conservatoires, and international trombone events worldwide. Their repertoire explores the full expressive and technical spectrum of the instrument, from lyrical chorales and virtuosic ensemble writing to extended techniques, improvisation, and stylistic crossover.

Beyond the concert stage, the ensemble is committed to inspiring the next generation through masterclasses and workshops, sharing a fresh perspective on ensemble playing, sound, and musicianship.

Slide'n Five showcases five distinctive musical voices united by exceptional ensemble playing, artistic curiosity, and a shared ambition to redefine the possibilities of the trombone quintet for the 21st century.
