Thomas Caris

Regional Director Analytics and AI, and General Insurance


Experienced in Pricing & Underwriting, Advanced Analytics & Data Science, and Performance management. Held Executive position in Product Management & Pricing, managed Group platforms, worked on IoT solutions, and implemented AI/ML solutions.

Working experience in several countries including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, UK and currently SAR Hong Kong. In addition to this, had the opportunity to engage closely with colleagues in Turkey, Portugal and further in Asia.

Felix Jacoby

Technical Lead at Odoo APAC


Felix Jacoby is a dynamic and experienced technology leader currently serving as the Technical Lead and Head of Tech for APAC at Odoo, where he has excelled for over five years. With a proven track record in software programming and technical leadership, Felix has played a pivotal role in driving innovation and enhancing operational efficiency across teams.

His journey began in Belgium, where he honed his programming skills before relocating to Hong Kong SAR, bringing a wealth of expertise to the APAC region. Passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems, Felix is dedicated to fostering collaboration and delivering exceptional results in every project he undertakes.

Arthur Shek

Managing Partner at McKinsey Hong Kong


Arthur Shek is the Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Hong Kong office. He has extensive experience in driving change with technology with companies in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Over the years, he has led many significant digital transformation efforts with multinational financial institutions, conglomerates, and family-owned businesses. In recent years, Arthur has worked on a number of AI-led transformations, holistically involving GenAI, data analytics, robotics, to drive innovation in strategy and business model, as well as sustainable changes in operating model and ways of working.

Arthur is passionate about Hong Kong. He is a member of the Financial Services Development Council, Better Hong Kong Foundation, as well as the Vision 2047 Foundation. Arthur is also a Co-Founder of the Melo Program, a not-for-profit platform dedicated to empowering youth in Hong Kong. Arthur holds an BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and he is a Past President of the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hong Kong.

Brian Wong 

Assistant Professor of Philosophy at University of Hong Kong


Dr. Brian Wong is a HKU-100 Assistant Professor in Philosophy at the University of Hong Kong. His research examines the ethics and dynamics of authoritarian regimes and their foreign policies, historical and colonial injustices, and the intersection of geopolitics, political and moral philosophy, and technology. At HKU, he serves as a Fellow at the Centre on Contemporary China and the World, sits on the Steering Committee for the Hong Kong Ethics Lab, and advises the Interdisciplinary Dynamics: Ethics, AI, and Society at the Institute of Data Science. He also serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Inquiry, having presented and written on issues of public philosophy for the Journal of Practical Ethics, the American Philosophical Association, and the Royal Institute of Philosophy. Brian co-founded and now advises Oxford Political Review, a publication aspiring to bridge the theory-practice gap. He is a HKSAR (2020) Rhodes Scholar, having read his DPhil at Balliol College, University of Oxford.
