STEF., born into a third-generation Belgian printing house, developed a passion for graphic design early on. After three years as a graphic designer, he sought to break traditional boundaries and created his first canvases. Since selling his first piece in 1995, his work has attracted collectors. Currently, he focuses on L’Ecurie de Marcelo, an art project featuring unique horse sculptures, each with a name and pedigree, symbolizing the balance of individuality and commonality in human society. Stef travels and paints on various locations around the globe to use their specific influences to achieve each very distinctive character every bloodline in the L’Ecurie de Marcelo project needs.
